The service
TaxLatitude is an online tool that answers cross-border tax questions, with sources, using statutes, treaties and official guidance. Answers are general information. They are not legal, tax or financial advice, and they do not create a relationship between you and a lawyer or accountant. You are responsible for checking the sources and for any decision you take.
Analyses and credits
One analysis is one message sent to the chat. A message can contain several questions. One credit is used for each answer produced. If your balance is zero, the chat does not accept new messages until you buy more credits or your plan renews.
Single analyses do not expire. Analyses bought in packs or as a one-off purchase (Pay once, three-analysis pack) are valid for 12 months from purchase. Monthly plan analyses are valid for the month in which they are granted and do not carry over. Yearly plan analyses are granted at the start of the year and are valid for 12 months.
Prices, taxes and payment
Prices are shown in US dollars and exclude taxes. Applicable taxes are added at payment according to the billing country. Payment is processed by PayPal.
Subscriptions and cancellation
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account page. Cancelling stops the next charge. Access continues until the end of the period already paid, and that period is not refunded.
Right of withdrawal (EU and UK)
If you live in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you have 14 days from purchase to withdraw. At checkout you are asked to confirm that you want immediate access to the service and that you understand you lose this right once an analysis has been produced. Without this confirmation, you keep the 14-day right for the whole purchase.
If you withdraw within 14 days, we refund the credits you have not used. Analyses already produced are not refunded. Refunds are paid to the original PayPal payment method.
Refunds
Outside the withdrawal right above, payments are not refunded, except where the law requires it. If an answer is not produced because of a fault on our side, the analysis is credited back to your account.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Hong Kong. This does not affect the mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you live.
